SNC students excel in State Biennial SNAI Conference
SUM Nursing College, Faculty of Nursing of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA), was adjudged the best Student Nurses Association unit of Odisha at the two-day 31st State Student Nurses’ Association of India (SNAI) Biennial Conference which concluded here on August 31.
The college, which garnered an impressive 27 points, won another laurel when Shreyanh Patra, a 2nd year B.Sc. (Nursing) student, was adjudged Mr. SNAI 2025 in the prestigious personality contest.
In sports, the boys’ Volleyball team and girls’ Throw Ball squad of the college clinched the championship titles showcasing their teamwork.
In other events, Bikram Behera finished first in discus throw and third in shot put while Solencee Udamani won the 100m dash for girls. Nayife Hamisu (100m dash Boys) and Uditanshu Ojha (long jump boys) secured the second position in their respective events. The boys athletic team finished first Runner-up.
Individual achievements further added to the institution’s success when Dalia Bhowmik secured the top position in poster painting and 2nd position in scientific oral paper presentation.
The duo of Tanushree Roy and Komolika Sharma won the second position in duet poster painting.
The achievements were made possible under the dedicated guidance and supervision of Ms. Debajani Nayak, Associate Professor and SNA Advisor, Mr. Soumya Sworup Patra, M.Sc. Tutor, and Ms. Suman Prava Singhdeo, M.Sc. Tutor. Their continuous guidance and mentorship played a vital role in motivating and encouraging the students.
